Residence & Commuter Life
Residence Life
If you join the 5,300+ students who live in one of our 10 residence halls, you’ll be part of a proud, closely knit community. Your housing choices include: The Heights, one of New Jersey’s largest student residential and dining complexes, as well as traditional residences, single rooms, apartment-style housing and Special Interest Living Communities, including the arts, science and mathematics, emerging leaders, honors and more.
While our campus is like a small, creative town, it’s just a train ride from one of the greatest cities in the world, with two New Jersey Transit stops easily accessible from all parts of campus. In many ways, New York City is another of our classrooms, offering an abundance of access to internships in all academic disciplines.
Commuter Life
The Office of Commuter Life puts on an array of programs and events to keep our commuter students active and engaged on campus. Throughout the year, we host a multitude of events to help keep our students involved. From celebrating National Vanilla Cupcake Day to hosting our very own Hip Hop Week, to giving out free food or hosting leadership workshops, the possibilities are endless for getting involved on campus! Commuter Pit Stops are scattered throughout campus, the lounges are equipped with charging stations and other amenities for commuters to use during their downtime.
